I am a single, gay, black, attractive and healthy, 35-year old woman located in Brooklyn, New York. My life is full of wonderful friends, family, community and a successful, self-generated business centered upon arts and education. I have a beautiful, bright, healthy, and happy toddler-age son who is the greatest joy in my life. My life is centered upon a positive outlook and lifestyle, running, yoga, meditation, compassion, being a vegetarian, environmental awareness, generosity, prospering, and giving back. 

I am a spiritually rooted, talented, energetic, strong, present and devoted mother to the greatest joy in my life. I want nothing more than to enjoy the experience of having another child, and a sibling for my child (my child already has a thoroughly involved father). I believe deeply in the availability, presence, and active participation of both of a child’s biological parents in their lives when possible.  For this reason, I am looking for a uniquely nurturing and devoted, emotionally and physically healthy man to father another child. I am open to various races and ethnicities. Because of the obvious possible complications and unpredictable life changes I am not interested in a 50/50 co-parenting relationship with the father. However, through a mutually fulfilling and creative arrangement I do want my second child's father to participate in his or her life as much as is comfortable and desired.

While I am not ready to begin the process of getting pregnant tomorrow, it would be inspiring to begin exploring this possibility with a man.  Most important to me in this potential relationship, is that the prospective father and I are able to develop a healthy, respectful, consistent, and supportive friendship before conception, and that we share similar ideals and visions for a parenting relationship founded upon good communication, honesty, and admiration.

At this point in my life I am committed to living in NY. However, I am open to the possibilities and looking for a known and participatory father who may live outside the NY area but close enough that he would be able to develop in a regular relationship with the child.
